WINDSONG ART STUDIO
Many people have found Windsong Acres to be a great "get-a-way" by giving a stained glass or pottery class a try. Even if you are not an "artist," you CAN create beautiful designs and gifts with stained glass and pottery!
We regularly offer both beginner and advanced classes, plenty of personal instruction, a peaceful retreat, and lots of fun in the process! Why not grab a friend and give it a try? Contact us to reserve your workstation!
CLASSES

Beginner's Pottery Class ($150, 4 sessions)
Learn the basics of pottery. Each student will have a session in hand building, wheel throwing and glazing with the fourth session as an opportunity to continue work on an existing project. Classes are offered Wednesday night by Karrigan Donovan. Join now and we will add you to a class as space is available!​

Kids Pottery Class ($60, 2 sessions)
Young artists will learn the basics of hand building. Each class will focus on a seasonal project. The first session will be building their pieces and the second session will be glazing their creation after it has been bisque fired. Sessions are offered on Saturday mornings during the school year and on a weekday morning in the summer. Classes are scheduled as advertised and led by Krista Hoener. ​

Stained Glass Class ($125, 4 sessions)
Learn the basics of working with stained glass. Windsong will provide glass and materials to create a beginner's piece. Classes are offered on Tuesday nights by Jeff Rasche. Join now and we will add you to a class as space is available.

Studio Time ($100, 4 sessions-2 hrs each)
Studio time is available for students who have completed the Beginner's Pottery or Stained Glass Class. Come and use the studio for your independent projects! Studio time is available Tuesday-Thursday 9-2pm and on evenings when classes are in session.
PRIVATE PARTIES
Book your Private Event! The Art Studio offers private workshops to host your unique birthday, bachelorette, office or family event! Bring your cake, snacks, cocktails and balloons to celebrate with us.

Glazing Workshop
Each piece of Windsong Acres' pottery is hand thrown, individual and uniquely beautiful! Spend an afternoon with us as we guide you in different glazing techniques and choose your own glaze and underglaze to create your own personalized combinations, perfect for your own home! Glazing workshops' base studio fee is $300 including your glaze and underglaze for your party up to 10 guests. You may add additional guests up to a total of 20 students for $30/per person. Choose your masterpieces from our already bisque fried pottery, ready to glaze! Purchase whichever piece that speaks to you to glaze. Bisque fired pieces range from $3-$55 and can be paid for in the studio after you choose.​

Hand Building Workshop
​ Learn the basics of hand building and create your own platter, planter, vase, coffee mug or whatever you decide! Hand Building workshop studio base fee is $350 which includes all pottery materials for your party up to 10 guests. You may add additional guests up to a total of 20 students for $35/per person. We'll fire your group's pottery and call when it is ready. Hand built pottery may be painted at home with acrylic paints OR if you'd like to take the next step, guests may return to glaze their pieces during studio hours for $30.

Field Trips
Windsong Acres loves hosting field trips! Call the Art Studio to arrange a field trip for you school, academy, home schooling, nursing home or youth group trip! We'll figure out what activities best suit your group and arrange pricing.

Pottery will be fired and available for pick up within two weeks. Please drop by for your fired piece the week that it is ready.
Get creative with us! Learn a new skill and sign up for one of the classes that Windsong Acres Art Studio has to offer. Register for classes and purchase your punch card by calling (217)257-9940. You'll receive a punch card for our regular classes or studio time to add flexibility for your busy schedule. If you need to miss an evening due to your schedule or the weather, you may make up your class within three months. Windsong Acres accepts Venmo, PayPal, cash, and checks. We also take credit card for a 3% fee.
